Come walk with us into the high country of the mountains and the heart of sisterhood on this Wild Women backpacking trip this summer from August 9th - 17th. In this journey together we will explore being in direct, participatory relationship with the earth and how to listen to each other and ourselves at a deeper level. Along the way we wish to encounter our singing hearts, secret mysteries, and spirits uplifted.

Begin to develop attunement to the natural world and competence in wilderness living skills during our eight days together. Over the trip you will:

  • Make a small foraging basket to bring along the trip

  • Learn nature awareness practices to increase attunement to the natural world

  • Learn to identify and process medicinal mountain plants into tea, tincture, and salve

  • Forage wild edibles together and be nourished directly from the land

  • Practice natural navigation and wilderness living skills

  • Experience simple and powerful rituals to access and explore your inner realm

  • Practice speaking and listening from the heart in women circles

  • Find your singing voice as we sing together in song circles

WHAT'S INVOLVED?

A backpacking trip in the Chilcotin mountains learning wilderness living skills while being empowered in a circle of women. Arrival will be at Anderson Lake for the first night and day during which we will weave a berry picking willow basket before departure. We will depart into the mountains for 7 days and 6 nights. This trip will build your confidence in the outdoors, expand your awareness of the wild, and deepen your direct relationship with the earth.
